Mahle Motorsport is the latest prestigious marketing partner committed to working with the WDRA in 2025.

NORWALK, OH: The World Drag Racing Alliance (WDRA) announces MAHLE Motorsport as the “Official Piston of the WDRA” as part of a new marketing partnership for the 2025 season. The most practical connection for the signature WDRA Rod trophy would undoubtedly be a piston, which is why MAHLE Motorsport has stepped up to become the title sponsor of the Race for the Rod events.

“It makes perfect sense for the signature WDRA Rod trophy to be accompanied by a piston company, and MAHLE Motorsport is one of the most respected names in the industry,” said Jessica Spears with the WDRA. “We are thrilled to have their support and look forward to promoting their brand at WDRA MAHLE Motorsport Race for the Rod events throughout our member racetracks this season.”

The WDRA Rod trophy is CNC machined from a block of billet aluminum, stands 21” tall, weighs approximately 11 pounds, and is soaked in 100% Made in the USA prestige. MAHLE Motorsport is etched into the laser-engraved plating to be proudly displayed in the homes of 2025 MAHLE Motorsport Race for the Rod winners. Every WDRA member racetrack is encouraged to add one of these events to their schedule each season as an incentive for their local racers.

“MAHLE Motorsport’s DNA is to support racing at all levels, and the World Drag Racing Alliance’s focus on grassroots, sportsman drag racing is a refreshing approach in the motorsports world,” said Scott Clontz, Marketing Coordinator at MAHLE Motorsport. “As a forged racing piston manufacturer, we are thrilled to be the ‘Official Piston of the WDRA’ and the presenting sponsor on the ‘Race for the Rod’ trophy this season. Being our 25th anniversary, we understand how important it is to assist our sanctioning bodies so that racers have a place to put their cars on the track. We are incredibly proud to partner with WDRA to help make those racing dreams a reality.”

Racers can contact the knowledgeable team at MAHLE Motorsport to decide which quality piston is the best option for their setup. Every POWERPAK piston is manufactured in the USA at the Morristown, Tennessee facility. Retail distributors can be found in numerous states and countries, or interested racers can browse online at another respected WDRA partner, Summit Racing Equipment.
