Harper will oversee a new membership system that the WDRA and its technology partners will debut January 1, 2023. The new membership system is being designed from scratch and will be the most advanced and racer focused system in the industry. “The most racer friendly system in the world isn’t any good unless you have the people behind it that understand what racers need and how fast they sometimes need it. WDRA Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement With Trackside Systems

Springfield, IL – The WDRA is proud to announce a new alliance with Trackside Systems. Trackside will become the Official Technology Partner of WDRA as well as the “Presented By” sponsor of the individual WDRA Bracket Finals events.
“WDRA was created, in part, to help our member tracks become more efficient at managing their businesses. This means not only streamlining processes but lowering the yearly costs of operating,” said WDRA’s Don Scott. “WDRA found a partner in Trackside that has developed the platforms to do just that and we will be working with them to bring the business of running a facility into the modern age.”
“Trackside was purpose-built from the ground-up for motorsports. As promoters and operators ourselves, we were our own first customer which gives us unique, first-hand perspective of the business side of motorsports,” said Jason Kennedy, founder and Chief Technology Officer of Trackside. “Trackside’s mission is to modernize motorsports to compete with other forms of entertainment. The viability and growth of motorsports depends on doing business the way that modern customers expect. Digitization is occurring in all other industries, making it a key ingredient for success for motorsports to attract and retain new fans and racers.”WDRA will be utilizing Trackside’s technology to streamline the systems and processes for its racing members. “The tracks and the sanctioning body can only start to reduce costs to the racers if we all become more efficient in our businesses,” said Scott. “Technology has only kept up in the electronics of race cars and not on the business side of the sport and WDRA is going to try and change that. WDRA will debut our first racer focused project with Trackside very soon.”
“We acknowledge the need to also support legacy ways of doing business (cash/paper) during a digital transition, and we are the only solution that supports both, but still drives efficiency. Customers can adopt Trackside, still do business the way they are used to, and enable digital features at any pace they are comfortable with,” added Kennedy. “We are excited to support the WDRA and help to continue the growth and evolution of drag racing!”

WDRA Forms Alliance With God Speed Ministry

Springfield, IL – The WDRA is proud to announce a new alliance with God Speed Ministry. God Speed Ministry was founded in May of 2004 as an organization of ‘racers ministering to racers.’ God Speed Ministry has grown from serving one organization to serving eight series in North America. They cover drag races, road races, swap meets, car shows and other outdoor events across the US and Canada. God Speed Ministry seeks to provide spiritual nourishment and growth to the participants, fans and sponsors at these events with non-denominational ministry, emergency response, outreach, speakers/services, and more.

“We want to publicly welcome God Speed Ministry to the WDRA family,” said WDRA founder Don Scott. “God Speed Ministry brings the church to events and connects people to God and each other. Their highly skilled and compassionate chaplains deliver sermons before races as well as pray for and with racers throughout the event. This is an important part of our Bracket Finals, World Championship and any WDRA managed event we do.”

“We are thrilled by the opportunity to serve the World Drag Racing Alliance, their tracks, partners, and racers. God Speed Ministry is proud to be part of the energy and vision of WDRA,” said Renee Bingham. “We have great relationships with so many of the WDRA tracks with whom we have ministered through the years. We are thrilled to be able to continue that relationship and to build relationships in new tracks and racers. We pray the blessing of God upon WDRA, their tracks, racers and partners. Proverbs 10:22 says, ‘The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and He adds no trouble to it.’ We speak that over the WDRA.”

WDRA, Contingency Connection Sign Multi-Year Agreement Benefitting Tracks and Racers

In an unparalleled move, the World Drag Racing Alliance (WDRA) has announced a multi-year partnership agreement with the Contingency Connection to offer an incredible opportunity to WDRA member tracks and racers.

Through an exclusive alliance, the WDRA and Contingency Connection will deliver national sponsorship opportunities to local racetracks. WDRA will offer member tracks a $1,000 discount towards enrollment in Contingency Connection’s Racer Rewards program. Additionally, Contingency Connection and WDRA will reward each class champion at each of the 2023 WDRA Bracket Finals events and WDRA Sportsman Drag Racing Series World Championships a Racer Awards Book valued at over $4000, totaling a program value of benefits to WDRA racers at $112,000.

In addition to the opportunity to join Contingency Connection at an exclusive discount, one WDRA member track will win a free enrollment into the 2023 Contingency Connection awards program valued at $2850.

Details on this opportunity will be announced soon.

“Our partnership with Contingency Connection is a prime example of WDRA building benefits for our track operators and member racers,” said WDRA President, Don Scott. “Contingency Connection has been providing undeniable value for 30 years with their awards program and allowing racers to save real money on parts and accessories they use on a regular basis. The WDRA is happy to provide a chunk of the cost toward providing that value.”

WDRA track operators now have an affordable opportunity to bring sponsorship through this program to their track. Contingency Connection will guarantee $50,000-$100,000 in national contingency awards to each WDRA member track that opts in and will provide Mid-Season awards and Champions Bonus Banquet Awards packages to all participating WDRA member tracks

“While our reach is great – the concept is simple,” said Contingency Connection’s President, Jackie Ressa. “Tracks and racers need sponsors. Sponsors need tracks and racers. Contingency Connection is the connection between the two.” Racers simply run decals of sponsors with products they use (or would like to use) to win valuable manufacturer coupon awards. Winning racers receive a Racer Rewards Book worth thousands of dollars in discounts towards the purchase of performance products. Ressa noted, “While most sponsorship programs require racers to buy or use a particular product on their race car to earn awards – Contingency Connection sponsors believe in rewarding and supporting all grassroots racers and tracks through the Racer Rewards program.”

The WDRA is delivering major benefits to everyone involved in their new sanction by partnering with Contingency Connection. Racers can race with parts that pay for themselves and race more often.

Manufacturers can build loyalty to their brands while supporting well-deserving racers and tracks.

About WDRA: The mission of the WDRA is to provide value as a sanctioning body to racers and facilities through process modernization, unparalleled service and value driven partnerships.
