Springfield, IL – The WDRA is proud to announce a new alliance with Trackside Systems. Trackside will become the Official Technology Partner of WDRA as well as the “Presented By” sponsor of the individual WDRA Bracket Finals events.
“WDRA was created, in part, to help our member tracks become more efficient at managing their businesses. This means not only streamlining processes but lowering the yearly costs of operating,” said WDRA’s Don Scott. “WDRA found a partner in Trackside that has developed the platforms to do just that and we will be working with them to bring the business of running a facility into the modern age.”
“Trackside was purpose-built from the ground-up for motorsports. As promoters and operators ourselves, we were our own first customer which gives us unique, first-hand perspective of the business side of motorsports,” said Jason Kennedy, founder and Chief Technology Officer of Trackside. “Trackside’s mission is to modernize motorsports to compete with other forms of entertainment. The viability and growth of motorsports depends on doing business the way that modern customers expect. Digitization is occurring in all other industries, making it a key ingredient for success for motorsports to attract and retain new fans and racers.”WDRA will be utilizing Trackside’s technology to streamline the systems and processes for its racing members. “The tracks and the sanctioning body can only start to reduce costs to the racers if we all become more efficient in our businesses,” said Scott. “Technology has only kept up in the electronics of race cars and not on the business side of the sport and WDRA is going to try and change that. WDRA will debut our first racer focused project with Trackside very soon.”
“We acknowledge the need to also support legacy ways of doing business (cash/paper) during a digital transition, and we are the only solution that supports both, but still drives efficiency. Customers can adopt Trackside, still do business the way they are used to, and enable digital features at any pace they are comfortable with,” added Kennedy. “We are excited to support the WDRA and help to continue the growth and evolution of drag racing!”
