Springfield, IL – The World Drag Racing Alliance announced today that Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School has joined the rapidly growing list of sponsors that will be supporting the bracket racing community by joining the WDRA in 2023. Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School will become the Official Drag Racing School partner of WDRA. Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School will award a class to each of the 2023 Summit Sportsman Drag Racing Series World Champions.


A legend in the sport of drag racing for more than fifty years, Roy’s desire to promote the sport, nurture budding talent and hone the skills of established drag racers inspired him to found Roy Hill’s Drag Racing

School in 1989 and in 1999 the launch of Roy Hill’s Driving Experience. Under Roy’s tutelage, professional drag racers such as Warren Johnson, Doug Herbert and Richie “The Kid” Stevens are just a few of the driver’s that have made a name for themselves in the sport.


“To have a legend like Roy Hill support your efforts is just amazing” said WDRA’s Don Scott. “Roy will forget more about driving a race car than most of us will ever know so we jumped at the opportunity to work with Roy to help get that knowledge passed on to the next generation.”


The Roy Hill Drag Racing School offers classes for Top Sportsman and Top Dragster, Stock and Super Stock, Super Comp and Super Gas, bracket racing and junior dragsters. Classes are for both the new driver and the advanced driver looking to hone their skills and turn on more win lights.
